Lower Face
Nasolabial folds & Marionette lines are tell tale signs of ageing, and the easiest areas to treat with dermal fillers. All wrinkles are a result of a combination of factors; the weakening of facial muscles as we age; facial expressions, so if you smile or laugh a great deal, there is a chance that you will develop deeper laugh lines at a younger age. The most common treatment is a hyaluronic acid filler. The amount of filler required is unique to each patient. A popular area to treat.
Gummy smile Botox is another popular treatment. A smile will be perceived as gummy when 3-4mm or more of gum tissue is showing. Corrected easily with a couple simple injections, avoiding costly cosmetic dental surgery. A small amount of Botox is administered into the levator muscles of the upper lip preventing these muscles from being hyperactive so the upper lip better covers the gum when you smile.
Masseter muscle botox is used for the treatment of bruxism (teeth grinding) but also for jawline reduction. We can change an overly square jawline to a more feminine oval or heart shaped face (as seen in celebrities such as Olivia Culpo and Sophie Turner) In some clients, the masseter muscle, the chewing muscle, is enlarged creating extra facial width. The jaw reduction injection selectively weakens this muscle over time leading to an overall reduction in size.
